February 8, 2011--The Deal Pipeline's senior writer Vipal Monga is first to report that several private equity firms have lined up to bid for CitiFinancial, Citigroup Inc.'s consumer finance division.
In "PE firms set to bid for CitiFinancial," Vipal reports that "interested firms include Blackstone Group LP and Carlyle Group--which are bidding together--Clayton, Dubilier & Rice LLC, J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. and Warburg Pincus LLC. Also said to be interested is Brysam Global Partners."
