As Managing Editor, Tony Baldo oversees daily editorial operations for The Deal. Tony is the founder and architect of The Deal's database strategy (auctions, financings, bankruptcies, M&A) and has been essential in the development of The Deal Pipeline transaction information service. One of his many accomplishments at The Deal is spearheading its first-ever rankings of the top law firms, lawyers, restructuring advisers and bankers working on active bankruptcy cases in 2003, known today as The Deal Pipeline’s Bankruptcy League Tables. These rankings are now regarded as the most accurate in the industry.

Over the course of Tony's 27-year career he has served as senior editor of Financial World magazine and editor of Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions Report and Treasury & Risk Management. He has also spent time as a reporter at Forbes and The Jersey Journal.
