David Elman is a bankruptcy and restructuring editor covering new bankruptcy filings, court hearings and debtor-in-possession loans and exits. Since joining The Deal LLC in 2003, David has contributed news articles and has also followed notable Chapter 11 proceedings.

Before his role as editor of bankruptcy and restructuring editor, David covered real estate for The Deal. Prior to joining The Deal, he served as copy editor at Institutional Investor and copy editor for Strategic Finance Magazine and Management Accounting Quarterly, both published by the Institute of Management Accountants.
