Demitri Diakantonis is a middle-market reporter at The Deal LLC with a focus on middle-market M&A and auctions, and M&A in the sports and restaurants/food and beverage sectors. In food and beverage, Demitri has broken several stories on restaurant auctions and M&A; in sports, he has covered transactions involving the sales of the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, Golden State Warriors, Montreal Canadiens, New Orleans Hornets and Buffalo Sabres.

Demitri joined The Deal in July 2007 as a researcher/reporter and then moved on to the M&A coverage team. Before joining The Deal LLC, he worked for the New York Daily News, Fischler Hockey Service and the Royal Media Group.
