As managing editor, Matt Haas manages The Deal LLC’s coverage of auctions and oversees data compliance. Most recently, Matt has focused on data-driven content development while managing The Deal Pipeline and overseeing the rollout of enhanced Deal Memos, which provide users with insight into breaking deals and the professionals who craft them, tying these to related content.

Matt joined The Deal when it launched in 1999, and started out as a statistics associate charged with helping to create statistics-related features for The Daily Deal, but his affinity for numbers and information led him to a number of roles working with The Deal’s databases, web production, project management and content development. Prior to joining The Deal, Haas worked in small business and programs development as a founding director at a community outreach program in Owego, N.Y.
