Michael Rudnick is a senior writer covering Wall Street who in his first years at The Deal LLC reported on bank consolidation and hedge funds. Michael has also led coverage of struggling insurers and midmarket lenders in features and news stories. He has been the first to report on several breaking news stories, among them an analysis of one of the largest IPOs in history.

Prior to joining The Deal, Michael was a senior editor at HFN magazine, where he covered M&A activity and leveraged buyouts within the retail sector.
