Renee Cordes is The Deal LLC’s correspondent in Brussels, covering EU regulatory issues as well as corporate news. Renee focuses on financial services reform and competition law, and companies in the Benelux and other parts of Europe; most recently, she has closely followed the Greek debt crisis.

A Chicago native, Renee has worked as a business journalist in Europe for more than 15 years at publications such as the European Voice in Brussels, Bloomberg News in Frankfurt, and startup English-language weekly business newspapers in post-Communist Hungary and Poland.
