You've noticed the Web acquisitions News Corp. has made in the last year (see, for example, the November-December 2005 Corporate Dealmaker, which you can access by going to "past issues" at www.corporatedealmaker.com. And you may have seen the news accounts of the expansive speech chairman Rupert Murdoch delivered in London in the middle of March, which lay out the historic and social context in a way you rarely hear CEOs do. But Murdoch's speech is worth reading in its entirety. You probably should be 75 and have a long record before you attempt this sort of thing. — Kenneth Klee
