Specialty pharmaceutical company Connetics Corp. has named Sunil Patel vice president for corporate development and strategy. Patel has previously worked at the biopharma companies Gilead Sciences Inc. and ZymoGenetics Inc. Most recently, Patel was a senior director for strategic marketing at Amgen-owned Abgenix, where he was responsible for corporate development, mergers and acquisitions and marketing activities.
Robert Elliott was drafted as senior vice president of global partners to manage alliances and partnerships at i2 Technologies Inc., which develops and markets supply chain management software. Elliott has previously served as Canadian country manager of software integration company Sybase Inc. and as Americas vice president of TempoSoft, a Web-based workforce management software company.
At Foldera Inc., Steve Cubberly has taken up the post of global vice president of strategic alliances. Previous to Foldera, a free web-based organizer and messaging/collaboration service, Cubberly owned a consulting business supporting companies such as ACNielsen, Hospira (an Abbott Laboratories Inc. spinoff) and American National Bank.
