Former Oracle Corp. and Siebel Systems Inc. executive Scott Creighton joined Bozeman, Mont.-based RightNow Technologies Inc., which specializes in customer relationship management (CRM). As vice president of business development, Creighton will lead growth and management of RightNow's global alliances and partnerships. Creighton came to Siebel from On Target Inc., where he provided alliance and channel strategy consulting to IBM Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co. and other leading technology companies.
Penwest Pharmaceuticals Co. has tapped Benjamin Palleiko to serve as senior vice president of corporate development and chief financial officer. As CFO, Palleiko succeeds Jennifer Good, who became president and chief operating officer of Penwest in November, and was recently named CEO.
Palleiko is the founder of Intrepid Merchant Partners LLC, a healthcare strategic advisory and investments firm. In 2003, he founded SunTrust Robinson Humphrey's life sciences investment banking practice, which he led until 2006.
Peter Salerno has become vice president of strategic alliances at teleSys Software Inc., a provider of advanced telecommunications middleware and network solutions headquartered in San Mateo, Calif. Salerno, who has held leadership positions at Ulticom Inc., Sun Microsystems Inc. and Northrop Grumman Corp., will generate new partnerships leading to sales with network equipment providers and system integrators.
