Online real estate content provider Move Inc. has added Vaughan Smith to its management team. Smith comes to the Westlake Village, Calif., firm as executive vice president of corporate development and strategic partnerships. Smith, an electronics and electrical engineer, will report to recently appointed president Lorna Borenstein and oversee strategy and partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and advertising monetization for the entire Move network of sites. Bernstein, an ex-lawyer, had held positions at Yahoo! Inc., eBay Inc. and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Canada Ltd. before joining the firm in May.

Smith also worked at eBay, spending seven years with the firm before arriving at Move. For a company whose stock price saw much better days around the dot-com bust, Smith may be just the strategist Move needs. — Baz Hiralal
