Anyone who works in corporate development knows that the job is unlike any other in the executive suite. It's also one of the least mapped in terms of compensation, career path, job responsibilities and other variables. That's starting to change, though, as transactions have gained unprecedented importance as an element of corporate strategy.
The profession will go under the microscope during a panel titled "Corp Dev Careers, Compensation, Recognition and Post-CD Transitions," at the Tuesday, Oct. 2, Corporate Dealmaker Forum in New York. Corp dev practitioners, compensation experts and executive recruiters will tackle complex issues including how to incentivize dealmakers, attract and retain talent, and transition into other professions.
