After an earnings miss last quarter, Google Inc. just reported revenues of $4.23 billion for the third quarter, an increase of 57% compared to 3Q 2006. What's more, Google's partner sites generated revenues, through AdSense programs, of $1.45 billion, or 34% of total revenue. Later this month investors will be watching the European Commission's decision to either clear Google's $3.1 billion DoubleClick Inc. deal or begin a formal investigation. They'll also be watching to see who will become the company's new CFO, since George Reyes is headed to retirement by year's end.
Google's share price has surged: Shares hit $651.79, up 2% in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq, a new high. — Baz Hiralal
