In Paris, Richard Keatinge left his post as managing director and VP of business development at BioAlliance Pharma SA to join biopharmaceutical company Cytheris SA, where he is now the chief business officer.

He'll be looking to form some commercial partnerships and has a load of contacts to start with. Keatinge brings more than two decades of experience in the U.S. biotechnology industry to Paris' Cytheris. Before moving to France in 2004, the good doctor was VP of corporate development at FeRx Inc., a targeted drug delivery company, and earlier was VP of biz dev at Digital Gene Technologies Inc. For eight years, he was president of Keatinge & Associates Inc., a San Diego biotechnology consultancy. Earlier in his career, he was director of corporate communications at ICN Pharmaceuticals (now Valeant Pharmaceuticals Inc.). -- Baz Hiralal
