Virgin Media strategy chief quits

Virgin Media Inc. confirmed Wednesday that its managing director of strategy, Ernie Cormier, will leave the company. The U.K. cable TV and broadband company, whose attempt to sell itself has been stalled by the credit crunch, also saw CEO Steve Burch resign over the summer. Virgin Media put itself up for auction after an unsolicited bid by Carlyle Group earlier in the year.
