JeanMarcHuet.pngOn March 31, Andrew Bonfield, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., will relinquish his role to Jean-Marc Huet. Huet (pictured) comes to BMS from the world of baby food. He was the engineer behind Amsterdam-based Royal Numico NV's acquisition strategy and their eventual $16.8 billion sale to Groupe Danone SA. Earlier, Huet was an investment banker, having worked as an executive director at Goldman Sachs International in London. He also worked at Clement Trading in Milan as a commercial manager.

Bonfield is moving on to seek new career opportunities, and the board thanked him for strengthening the firm's internal controls following an accounting scandal six years ago. Along with the CFO change, the firm said Lamberto Andreotti, EVP and COO of worldwide pharmaceuticals, will also be responsible for Mead Johnson and ConvaTec,  which Bristol-Myers is seeking alternative strategies for. Andereotti was also named EVP and chief operating officer of Bristol-Myers.

In January, the firm completed the sale of its medical-imaging unit to private equity firm Avista Capital Partners for $525 million cash. The sale was made so the could focus on pharma research. - Baz Hiralal
