Eisai dealmaker talks biotech deals

June X. Nguyen, associate director of business development at Eisai Inc., spoke about the ins and outs of integration after a merger.


At The Deal's recent Healthcare Dealmaking Symposium, she talked about how the big Japanese pharmaceutical firm is integrating a couple of important biotech acquisitions in the U.S.: MGI Pharma, which Eisai bought for $3.9 billion in December, and Morphotek, which it bought in March 2007 for $325 million. - George White
