Business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn Corp. made advisory board member
Ellen Levy VP of corporate development and strategy. Levy is familiar to the tech deal world from her work as a managing director at NeoCarta Ventures and at Softbank Venture Capital. She also worked at startups Softbook Press Inc. when it was sold to Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. and WhoWhere? Inc. when it was sold to Lycos Inc. for $133 million.
Speculation is that
LinkedIn may IPO this year, which could give Levy some currency for acquisitions. For now, however, Levy is busy with identifying and managing strategic partnerships. -
