In a number of posts, we've touched upon the deal activity generated by companies driving into new geographies.  Which raises an interesting question: Is all this cross-border activity boosting demand for corporate dealmakers who have international experience?

A few minutes with the advanced-search function on our favorite jobs site, Indeed, yields results that are short of  definitive but certainly intriguing.

Here are some of the companies currently looking to fill international M&A or strategy jobs:

• Office Depot Inc. needs a director of international strategy for its international division.
• Medco Health Solutions Inc. is looking for a director of international business development.
• Time Warner Inc. wants a manager of strategy and corporate development with strong knowledge of international media market dynamics.
• Xerox Corp. seeks an M&A business strategy and development manager for Xerox Global Services.

Given the current state of the markets, it's obviously not all good news out there for transaction professionals. At the same time, it makes sense to think that those who get the trends right can benefit. Let us know if there are any employment trends you'd like to see us explore. - Kenneth Klee
