Below are the candidate companies in the information technology sector for the Most Admired Corporate Dealmakers survey. They were determined statistically, and represent a roll-call of the most transaction-intensive large companies in the sector.

We screened for the companies in the sector that closed the highest number and dollar value of acquisitions and divestitures between January 1, 2005 and June 30, 2008. The selection formula also recognized companies for doing a high dollar volume of deals compared to their market capitalizations on the start date. To be included, companies had to have a market cap of $5 billion or more on the closing date of the study period.
