netflix_video.jpegNetflix Inc. has expanded its online video-streaming business with another alliance. The DVD delivery provider is teaming with TiVo Inc. in a deal that will allow Netflix subscribers to watch movies instantly using TiVo technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

While Netflix makes its money delivering DVDs, it has been building its video-streaming business through a series of partnerships. In the last two months, the company has signed deals with CBS Corp. and Walt Disney Co. to boost its library of online content and with Samsung Electronics America, LG Electronics, Microsoft Corp., Roku Inc. and other tech companies to embed Netflix download software in their consoles and players. - Suzanne Stevens
