JeffSchrockBig.pngFormer RealNetworks Inc. executive Jeff Schrock joined Intel Capital as a Seattle-based investment director focused on the digital home sector, peHub reported. Most recently, Schrock was a venture partner with Monster Venture Partners, which he joined in March. In October, executives at MVP's portfolio companies were told to "batten down the hatches" and prepare for rough times in which funding might not be available, TechFlash said.

Earlier, Schrock worked in corporate development at RealNetworks, where he played a role in over $1 billion in acquisitions and JVs, and Yahoo! Inc.

Schrock told peHub that "Intel Capital is stage-agnostic, which means I'll have license to do everything from the types of seed-stage deals I've enjoyed doing with Rob Monster over the past year, to later-stage and PIPE kind of deals." - Baz Hiralal
