Online auctioneer eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) is planning an IPO spinoff of Skype, its disappointing voice-over-Internet-protocol acquisition. CEO John Donahoe says he'd like to make the move in the first half of 2010, though as our Olaf de Senerpont Domis pointed out last week on Dealscape, the deadline is probably a soft one, with getting the best price the driving consideration.
