William Perez resigned as CEO of sneaker giant Nike Inc. Monday, apparently because of a personality clash with company founder and chairman Philip Knight. That’s not surprising. It’s hard to run a company when the founder is still involved. And it can be especially difficult when the big guy thinks “Just do it!” constitutes brilliant repartee. — Jeffrey Kanige
