Disney and Pixar, together again?

MickeymouseWalt Disney Co. is through cartooning around and has entered into serious talks to acquire Pixar Animation Studios Inc., according to a published report in the Wall Street Journal.

The report cites sources who say Disney would pay a “nominal premium” to Pixar’s existing market value of $6.7 billion.

The pair first teamed up in 1991 and over the years produced such animated films as “Finding Nemo,” “Monster Inc.” and “The Incredibles.” A deal is not certain, however, and in sensitive stages, according to the Journal article.
