Researchers at the University of Buffalo have found that about 7% of U.S. workers consume alcoholic beverages on the job, mainly at lunch. A further 9% have dragged themselves into work with hangovers. The most likely imbibers are salespeople—who often entertain clients with booze—restaurant workers—who spend their days serving the stuff—and media types—who are just a bunch of drunks.
