No sex in the Goldman corner office

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story

Goldman Sachs has asked Rob Muller, the manager of a "porn" Web site called goldmansex.com, to change the name of his Web site. The New York-based investment bank — which the Dutch man claims to have never heard of — last week submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum, which oversees domain name disputes, arguing the Internet domain goldmansex.com not only contained objectionable material, but would cause confusion with its Web site. Muller told Reuters that he chose the URL because his nickname is Goldman, not as a play on the bank's name. At any rate, for those too prudish to visit the site — or simply don't have access because of a corporate firewall — don't worry we checked it out for you. Interestingly, the landing page isn't very racy. The most titillating image on the front page is the silhouette of a woman. The site is essentially a database of 5,000 strip clubs in 300 cities across the globe. In addition, the site is available not only in English, but also in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Honestly, it seems like the perfect service for globe trotting investment bankers hoping to visit their host's equivalent to Scores. —Matthew Wurtzel
