News that Karen Kozlowski, the wife of disgraced former Tyco CEO L. Dennis Kozlowski, is seeking a divorce promptedsome creative headlines from the business press. Although the divorce petition was filed July 31, the news only became public late Wednesday. The former waitress has asked the court that all of the couple's assets and liabilities be equally distributed and that Dennis Kozlowski, be required to pay financial support, which probably won't be much in the short term as he can't possibly be making the millions she's become use to over their five-year marriage working a prison job. In addition, Karen Kozlowski, 45, is seeking a lien to protect her half of a waterfront mansion in Boca Raton, Fla., that the couple bought with no-interest Tyco loans for $19 million. Dennis Kozlowski is serving eight to 25 years for securities fraud, and must pay $170 million in restitution, which means he'll likely have to sell everything that Karen Kozlowski is seeking in the divorce.
