Agassi finds a new career

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story

Recently retired professional tennis player Andre Agassi loves challenges. Agassi is hoping his tenacity on the tennis court, which generated 60 career titles including eight grand-slam crowns over a 21-year career, will be just as successful in his new career in real estate. Agassi with his wife Steffi Graf, also a former tennis star, through their Agassi Graf Development LLC will join with privately owned Exclusive Resorts LLC, a time-share company headed by AOL co-founder Steve Case, to develop "luxury resort communities." These developments in the U.S. and abroad would center around a specialized Agassi/Graf tennis and fitness clinic.

Agassi and Graf follow in the footsteps of other professional athletes such as professional basketball player Shaquille O'Neal, who recently formed a real estate development group called O’Neal Group, and NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, who formed Canyon-Johnson Urban fund, which primarily invests in underserved urban neighborhoods in the U.S. The fund is managed by Canyon-Johnson Realty Advisors LLC, a partnership between Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC and Johnson Development Corporation.— Gerald Magpily
