Frank QuattroneFor those living in Silicon Valley, mark your calendar for Jan. 24, or you may miss your chance to hear former CSFB tech banker Frank Quatrone make his first public speaking engagement since being cleared of wrongdoing in August. The Western Association of Venture Capitalists has invited Quatrone to kick off its 2007 distinguished speakers series. Quatrone was charged with obstructing an investigation into CSFB underwriting of IPOs, where he was also accused of doling out shares to preferred clients and friends.—Matthew Wurtzel
