Just in: Advisers for GE/Blackstone-PHH

For its $1.8 billion sale to General Electric and Blackstone, PHH hired Merrill Lynch (Gary Swidler, Lee Shavel, Richard Gin and Suren Rana) and Gleacher Partners (Eric Gleacher, Richard Burke, Mark Davis and Harry Bond) for financial advice. DLA Piper US provided legal counsel.

GE turned to Lehman Brothers for financial advice while Blackstone used J. P. Morgan (John Simmons, David Adler, Rod Reed and Mark Feldman). On the legal side, Weil, Gotshal, & Manges (Howard Chatzinoff, Glenn West and Kenneth Heitner) counseled GE; Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (Wilson Neely and Andrew Chvatal) represented Blackstone.
