Another blog for dealmakers

Did the rollout of an old-media product overshadow a new Web site? While Conde Nast Publications made headlines this week with the launch of its long-awaited Portfolio business magazine (see Media Maneuvers), AOL LLC quietly introduced a new blog for dealmakers: BloggingBuyouts. Perhaps the rollout was overlooked because the new site could easily be mistaken for AOL's Wall Street blog BloggingStocks, which seems to have spawned it, as the same writers contribute to both. Well, there's always room for another deal blog, especially now with the "demise" of SuperMogul. —Matthew Wurtzel
