Two big guns in antitrust law, Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP's Kevin Arquit and Peter Thomas, are advising Hellman & Friedman LLC on its $3.1 billion sale of DoubleClick Inc. to Google Inc. That could suggest the buyout firm expected Google competitors to raise concerns with the deal, which would give the Internet giant control of roughly 80% of the online advertising market, according to CNET's News.com. Arquit, formerly general counsel of the Federal Trade Commission and director of the agency's Bureau of Competition, is in particular demand these days—he's also advising Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. in its proposed $13 billion merger with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. —Alain Sherter See story from The Deal
