David Evans will get an analyst post at Morgan Stanley, The Wall Street
Journal's Deal Journal blog reports. Originally, Evans was to take up
residence at J.P. Morgan, but a scandal that spread through the media like
wildfire forced the firm not to hire him. The ex-Duke lacrosse captain was
indicted on rape charges with fellow lacrosse players Reade Seligmann and
Collin Finnerty. USA Today says Evans was the first member of the team to
speak out against the charges and his accuser — a role that Evans can now take
on, as
he
can ponder a lawsuit. Joining Duke alum John Mack's J.P. Morgan is another
step in the right direction for Evans after being deemed innocent, although he
most likely won't ever be able to truly put the events behind him. —Baz
