PC Symposium Attendee: John Barber

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story

Citigroup has been all over the news as of late. From talk of Chuck Prince's restructuring plan to a deal to acquire Old Lane LP and welcome ex-Morgan banker Vikram Pandit into its ranks. We now look to the private equity world and Citigroup's John Barber to answer some of the burning questions that have risen in that sector. Barber will be on hand as a panelist at our PC Symposium to address questions such as:

  • Will the Fortress IPO encourage other PC firms to follow suit?
  • Can the business development corporation concept rebound from earlier miscalculations?
  • Will more sponsors look to markets outside the U.S. to raise public funds?

Barber, a managing partner with Citi's PE division, oversees the direct equity, direct mezzanine and fund investments in North America and Europe for CPE and its affiliates.—Baz Hiralal
