Topps scoop

  Share     E-Mail    Discussion    Print Story

TheDeal.com was the first to break news Tuesday night that Upper Deck Co. LLC made a last-minute bid for rival Topps Co. A quick Google News search shows that only the New York Post followed up on the news, but almost two whole days after TheDeal.com, which had already published a second, more definitive article on Wednesday. However, bloggers at The Wall Street Journal's Deal Journal seem to give the Post credit, which itself fails to cite TheDeal.com for the scoop. —Matthew Wurtzel
