BVCA head steps down

The British Venture Capital Association said Thursday that Peter Linthwaite has stepped down from his post as chief executive. Linthwaite’s resignation comes two days after he met with Parliament officials to defend the tax benefits of private equity executives. Former BVCA chief executive John Mackie will return to the BVCA as a part-time consultant until a new CEO is found. Linthwaite had been chief executive for two years.
