Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. is negotiating a sale of the
company's three Atlantic City casinos exclusively with an investment group led
by former casino executive Dennis Gomes and real estate developer Morris
Bailey, the
Newark
Star-Ledger reported Monday. TER executive vice president John P. Burke
declined comment when reached on Monday. In the report, Trump said the odds of
completing the deal to sell the Trump Plaza, Trump Marina and the Trump Taj
Mahal are about "50-50." The Star-Ledger also reported that Trump fired TER
chief executive Jim Perry on Friday, after Perry was the only member on the
board to vote against the would-be deal. Perry had been CEO since TER
emerged
from Chapter 11 protection in May 2005. —John Blakeley
