U.K. buyout shop Apax Partners Worldwide LLP is considering a bid for U.K.
media group Emap plc, a source close to the situation confirmed Monday. The
person said, however, that talks are preliminary and no offer has been made. A
Monday
report
in the Financial Times said Apax had offered £1.3 billion ($2.6 billion)
for Emap’s B2B arm with a view to merging it with Incisive Media.
Emap
said July 27 that it had begun a strategic review of unsolicited offers
