SEIU: The pot calling the kettle black

Recently Dealscape reported that the Service Employee International Union had identified J.C. Flowers & Co.'s Sallie Mae buyout the latest public enemy number one as part of its battle with private equity. However, PE Hub's Dan Primack revealed that the labor union does business with its enemy. While the SEIU doesn't formally invest in private equity, pensions directly associated with the union remain committed to investing in private equity funds. —Matthew Wurtzel
