Hollywood producer Andrew Hauptman's investment firm Andell Holdings has bought Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire franchise from Philip Anschutz's AEG sports entertainment empire. While the purchase price was not disclosed, the Chicago Sun-Times speculated that the likely price was about $30 million. Timothy J. Leiweke, president and CEO of AEG, which also controls the MLS' Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo teams, said the company decided to sell the Fire to reduce the number of teams operated by AEG, according to Variety. —Matthew Wurtzel
