CNET in play?

Recent unconfirmed rumors of a possible acquisition of CNET Networks Inc. have resurfaced, according to BloggingBuyouts. Barry Briggs, former president, COO and the third-largest shareholder, is encouraging a sale. CNET, a technology news and review Web site, will report earnings after market close Thursday, so maybe it will either confirm or kill this age-old rumors once and for all. — Matthew Wurtzel
