Delta deal rumors fly

Coming on the heels of a pilots' union meeting to discuss the possibility of industry consolidation, rumors are soaring about Delta Air Lines Inc. launching the next round. The Atlanta-based airline reportedly will ask its board for clearance to begin formal merger talks with both Northwest Airlines Corp. and UAL Corp., according to The Wall Street Journal.
