Wellcare trading up on deal rumors

Last week, Dealscape suggested Wellcare Health Plans Inc. was a likely takeover target after the board sacked the company's executive team. At midday Monday, its shares were trading up $4.85 a share, up 11% from Friday's close of $43.12 a share. It looks like the market may agree with this rumor, or at least supports the board's decision. - The editors
