msftyahoo.pngMicrosoft Corp. hired Blackstone Group LP and Morgan Stanley for financial advice in its $44.6 billion Yahoo! Inc. bid. The Morgan Stanley team includes Paul J. Taubman, Chuck Cory, Drew Guevara and Thomas Wayne. Jill Greenthal is on the deal for Blackstone. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP (Casey Cogut, Alan Klein, Katy Sudol) and Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP are providing legal counsel in the takeover effort. - The editors
