'Da Merc' versus Bernanke in a fight: Who would win?

CME Group Inc. -- which runs the world's largest derivatives exchange commonly referred to simply as the Merc, unless you're from Chicago where it's known as "da Merc" -- may announce as early as next week a deal to buy rival exchange Nymex Holdings Inc. for cash and stock worth about $9.5 billion, according to a Thursday Wall Street Journal report. The news has been rumored for months and was the impetus for Wall Strip's "Daaa Merc" parody of the classic "Saturday Night Live" Mike Ditka sketches.
