Credit Agricole raises $950M infrastructure fund

ForkInRoadSmall.pngInfrastructure funds continue to pile up cash, as the closing of a $950.4 million vehicle by Credit Agricole Private Equity Tuesday brought fundraising for the sector to over $9 billion in April alone.

The new Credit Agricole fund, which will make investments in jointly owned public-private infrastructure projects, follows in the footsteps of a $7.5 billion infrastructure fund for Goldman, Sachs & Co. and 3i Group plc's $1.2 billion 3i India Infrastructure Fund. Also out raising capital are Citigroup Inc., which is marketing a $5 billion infrastructure fund, and Macquarie Capital Group Ltd. and State Bank of India, who recently unveiled plans to co-raise a $2 billion infrastructure fund. - George White
