John Leone on investing in university research

John Leone, a partner at Paul Capital Healthcare, appeared at The Deal's Healthcare Dealmaking Symposium to discuss investment in the intellectual properties of universities and small companies. In a video clip from the conference, Leone discusses some of the firm's investments and explains that even though there is a debt crisis, investment in small companies is necessary. "There are still deals out there for the smaller companies. They still need to grow -- either that or they are going to go away," he said. - Maria Woehr
