Just In: Advisers on CBS-Cnet

CBS Corp. on Thursday said it would pay $11.50 per share or nearly $1.8 billion for Cnet Networks Inc., news that caused the target's flagging share price to trade almost that high by midafternoon. Several advisers weighed in. Here are a few:

CBS didn't use outside bankers, but relied on a Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP team of Howard Chatzinoff and Raymond Gietz. Cnet tapped Morgan Stanley's Robert Kindler as well as Allen & Co. bankers and a Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP team that included Morton Pierce and Chang-Do Gong, among a host of other attorneys, for counsel. -- The editors
