Canada's top court hears BCE case

The parent of Bell Canada has asked the court to overturn a Quebec Court of Appeal ruling that favored bondholders who oppose a sale of BCE to Teachers' Private Capital, Providence Equity Partners Inc., Madison Dearborn Partners LLC and Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity. The bondholders had argued that the transaction, which is the largest North American buyout to date, treats them unfairly.
